Maier machine tools in terms of efficient production even have gone a big step. Earlier this year Michael Maier called the division “Maier Robotics” to life. This current four-man department offers process-optimized solutions from processing and automation technologies from a single source.

Since about five years Maier develops solutions for fully automated loading, for example, a robotic handling system or for unloading and subsequent palletizing and process-related processing. “Origin of our automation offering was the MLK system,” recalls the director. “So in our machines could also socket ends – for example, extruded and cast parts – are machined properly. For adjustment and removal of such workpieces customers have asked for the first time automation solutions.

Over the years, the orders have increased, not only for Maier machines. Consumers could also be automated with robots from other manufacturers later because Maier is able to offer turn-key solutions including CE certification and settlement. The tool is fully automated with robots, measuring equipment (contact and tactile), grabs and all that is needed.
